We spent the weekend in Gaylord golfing and exploring at the beginning of October. We stay at the Loon Golf Resort and golfed the Loon course and the Ridge course. Had fun at both, but the Ridge course was very kind to me.
Although we have been to Gaylord many times, we had never been in this part and went exploring. Guy said that the National Weather Station was on one of the roads and we set out to find it. After years of hearing their weather warnings I wanted to see where the alerts were coming from. We found it and I made him pull over and take a picture. 🙂 Was not at all what I was expecting. I had always pictured this massive building, but the radar ball (?) was cool.
While driving home I noticed that the trees were starting to turn and there were pops of the most purplish red I can remember in a long time. Our drive home turned into a fall color drive. Such a wonderful unexpected surprise. Sorry about the wipers, it just had to rain.
