Tips for Your Haunted-Event
- Check dates and times early. Many haunts run only on weekends or select nights in October, and some open only one night (like Kerridge’s).
- Age / scare level warnings. Some attractions are family-friendly, others are “extreme” and not suitable for children.
- Watch weather & terrain. Outdoor haunted trails may be muddy, steep, or slippery — dress appropriately.
While the haunted-event scene in Northern Michigan and the U.P. might not be as dense as in major metro areas, there’s more than meets the eye — and under the moonlight. From haunted ship decks and pines trails to historic inns and ghost tours in little towns, there’s plenty for thrill-seekers and curious souls.
