The Upper Peninsula of Michigan, also known as the U.P., is known for its rugged landscapes and outdoor recreational opportunities. While the distillery scene in the U.P. is still growing here are a few distilleries located in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

Offering private label gin, vodka, whiskey, rum, and beers. Brewing and distilling is done off the island because of the infrastructure they cannot brew on site.

Les Cheneaux Distillers – Cedarville

2 locations in Cedarville offering vodka, rum, gin, whiskey under the Straits label. They also have a brewery with 10 different craft beers always on tap.

Mackinac Island Rum Co – Mackinac Island

The tasting room on Mackinac Island offers 3 unique rums. Vanilla cinnamon, banana flavored and aged rum made with chocolate fudge from Murdick’s on the Island. They also serve Gypsy distilling cocktails as well.

North Winds Distillery – Norway

Distilleries of Northern Michigan. Selection of various cocktails in different style of glasses.Currently offering only silver rum. Coming soon is golden rum, vodka, and amoretto.

The Honorable Distillery – Marquette

Offering vodka, gin, rum, bourbon, and rye whiskey. They are located in the former Nordic Theater and to honor the theater they offer a cinema series. A limited-edition spirit set of Red Salute vodka, Anatomy of a murder gin and Black Beauty rye which (with butter pecans and Michigan maple syrup).
